Biostimulators are a unique class of dermal fillers that work differently than most. Upon injection, they stimulate collagen production, your body’s natural filler, to address different aging-related and cosmetic concerns. At Wise Aesthetics in Carmel, IN, we offer different treatment options with these injectables that can stimulate natural collagen production so you can achieve natural and long-lasting results.
What Are Biostimulators?
Biostimulators are dermal fillers that contain active ingredients that stimulate natural collagen production upon injection. We offer two popular biostimulators, Sculptra® and RADIESSE®, only at Wise Aesthetics, we use a unique form of RADIESSE® called Hyperdilute RADIESSE® that can rejuvenate the skin, improve skin texture, and restore a natural and youthful appearance to facial and body areas.
Restore Your Body’s Natural Dermal Filler
Collagen is the key to anti-aging, so if you’re interested in undergoing treatment that will naturally reverse the aging process, a biostimulator treatment plan may be the perfect option for you. We can schedule an initial consultation to give you more details about our treatment options, confirm your eligibility, and design your treatment plan.
One of the reasons that patients choose biostimulators to address aging-related and cosmetic concerns is that they stimulate natural collagen production. This protein is the key to maintaining youthful skin, so instead of just masking a problem, biostimulators address it at the source.
They are an effective option for patients who may not qualify for hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers and for those who would rather stimulate natural collagen production in an effort to combat and delay the aging process. They can also be combined with hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers for comprehensive results. Some of the treatment benefits include the following:
- Injections are quick and virtually painless
- Treatment plans are customizable
- Treatments can be combined with other injectables
- The results appear gradually
- The results are long-lasting
- The results look completely natural
- There’s no social downtime post-treatment
Biostimulator treatments are identical to normal dermal filler treatments. If necessary, we can apply topical numbing cream to your skin before administering the injections. Then, we will inject the right amount of product into your desired treatment areas. Typical treatments only take a few minutes from start to finish, and then patients can resume their normal daily activities.
first 24 hours.
You won’t have to plan around any downtime, but it is important that you follow all of the post-treatment care directives we provide. Some of these directives include avoiding sun exposure, using specific topical products to protect the skin, and avoiding hot environments and strenuous exercise for the first 24 hours.
Sculptra® Treatments
Sculptra® is designed to replace the collagen that the body has lost as a result of the aging process and environmental or lifestyle factors. It contains an active ingredient called poly-L-lactic acid that, when injected just below the skin’s surface, forces the body to respond with a natural increase of collagen. As a result, it can naturally correct the most common signs of aging that appear in the middle and lower half of the face due to volume loss.
After the initial injection, results will appear within the first three months and can last up to two years. Maintenance treatments will extend treatment results and help you continue to delay the aging process.
We primarily use Sculptra® for facial rejuvenation. Injections into different areas of the mid-facial area can combat aging and restore a youthful appearance. Sculptra® is an effective option for patients who want to smooth cheek wrinkles, eliminate smile lines, and treat marionette lines.
We also offer a popular treatment called the Sculptra® BBL that can naturally enhance the buttocks by promoting increased collagen production. Strategic injections into different areas of the buttocks will force the body to naturally increase collagen, improving the area’s size, shape, and appearance. This treatment can also create a smoother skin texture, which will help reduce the appearance of cellulite.
Hyperdilute RADIESSE® Treatments
RADIESSE® is another collagen-stimulating filler with an active ingredient called CaHA that can restore natural volume in the middle and lower half of the face, rejuvenate the hands, and even enhance the jawline. Our Hyperdilute RADIESSE® injections contain RADIESSE® mixed with saline. We can use it to restore natural volume to different areas, tighten the skin, promote skin elasticity, and ensure that patients achieve natural-looking results.
Hyperdilute RADIESSE® can be injected into different body areas to tighten the skin. Its collagen-stimulating effect results in improvements in both skin texture and elasticity. Our body treatment options can improve the appearance of crepey skin on the knees, arms, thighs, and abdomen. We can also use this injectable to reduce the appearance of cellulite by tightening the skin.
The skin-rejuvenating benefits of this treatment are most visible within the first four weeks of treatment. We typically recommend that patients schedule three treatments with four weeks between each and one annual treatment for optimal results.
We can also use Hyperdilute RADIESSE® to treat fine lines, crepiness, and skin laxity on the neck. If you’ve noticed horizontal lines that wrap around your neck like a necklace, we can treat and eliminate these lines with a Hyperdilute RADIESSE® treatment plan.
You can expect natural results, including a smoother neck and younger-looking skin in the treatment area. We typically recommend that patients undergo three treatments with four weeks between each and one annual treatment for optimal results.
We can perform hand rejuvenation treatments using RADIESSE® to naturally stimulate collagen production in the backs of the hands to hide the veins, tendons, and bones that become more visible as the body loses collagen. This treatment naturally rejuvenates the hands, and patients can expect long-lasting results.
