When it comes to lasers, the treatment options are almost endless. However, when you schedule a laser treatment at Wise Aesthetics in Carmel, IN, you can rest assured that it will be an effective one customized to your needs. HALO® is one of our powerful laser treatments that addresses and improves different skin concerns, meets the needs of patients with all skin types, and does so safely so that patients can experience better skin after just one to two treatments.
What Is HALO®?
The HALO® pro fractional laser by Sciton® is the first-ever hybrid fractional laser equipped with hybrid technology, including a 1470nm non-ablative laser and a 2940nm ablative laser.
Both work together to create controlled zones of coagulation that can target precise depths. These zones reach into the dermis, stimulating neocollagenesis. At the same time, the device fractionally vaporizes micro laser channels in the epidermis, the top layer of the skin, to improve tone and texture.

Patients looking for a laser treatment that can address and correct stubborn skin concerns in the deeper layers of the skin, and those evident in the superficial layer, make good candidates for this treatment. It’s powerful, effective, and can address the most stubborn skin concerns that detract from the natural beauty of the skin. Other treatment benefits include the following:
- It can address common and stubborn skin concerns on the face and body
- It can treat multiple imperfections during one session
- Patients with all skin types can benefit from treatment
- Treatments are quick
- Only one to two sessions are necessary to achieve optimal results
This laser device can treat some of the most common skin concerns that make patients feel less than confident in their skin, including lines, wrinkles, acne scars or general scars, hyperpigmentation, sun damage, dyschromia, pigmented lesions, large pores, and other textural irregularities. We can use it to treat patients with all skin types and address multiple areas, including the face, neck, chest, hands, arms, and legs.
Most patients only need one to two treatments to address their primary concerns and achieve that healthy HALO® glow. However, since we customize treatment plans for each patient, it’s important that we meet with you before your session to evaluate your skin and determine the best protocol based on your treatment goals. At that time, we can better project what it will take to help you achieve your best skin to date.
On its own, HALO® is an effective laser treatment, but we can enhance the treatment and results with a unique combination treatment. Combining this laser device with a BBL treatment can better target pigmentation concerns on the superficial layer. BBL stands for broadband light and delivers pulses of light energy into the skin to eliminate damaged and discolored skin cells, rejuvenating the skin.
Together these devices will reduce superficial pigmentation, promoting a more even skin tone. If you’re interested in learning more about this combination treatment, we can give you details at your initial consultation.
HALO® uses ablative and non-ablative wavelengths to stimulate natural collagen and elastin production by forcing the body to respond to the treatment with a healing reaction. It can eliminate those dead, damaged, and discolored skin cells, replacing them with younger, healthier ones. As a result, you can expect visibly brighter and healthier skin after your treatment.
Typical treatments take anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes, based on the size of the area and whether you choose to treat multiple areas. Before the treatment, we will apply a topical numbing solution to ensure you remain comfortable. Once the topical anesthetic numbs your skin, we can customize your treatment to address your specific skin concerns.
You can resume most of your normal daily activities after it’s over, and we will provide you with aftercare instructions that will help promote healing and recovery post-treatment.
Typical downtime after a HALO® treatment ranges from three to five days. While you can resume most normal daily activities, there will be some topical products you need to temporarily discontinue and avoid sun exposure and treatments that could aggravate your skin and delay the healing process.
You should also use a gentle cleanser and quality moisturizer to help nourish your skin for the first few days after the treatment, as it naturally sheds and exfoliates, a normal result of the treatment process.
After undergoing treatment, patients can expect visible results within one week. These results will continue to improve as the body increases natural collagen and elastin production in the weeks following.
Results can last for years after your treatment, but it’s important that you take steps to promote skin health by avoiding sun exposure, protecting your skin when you are exposed to the sun, and using quality skin care products. Additionally, scheduling other skin-perfecting treatments between your HALO® maintenance sessions can keep your skin revitalized and exfoliated and prevent aging.
HALO® treatments begin at $1350. At your consultation, we can give you more details about the total cost so you know what to expect.
Patients with Fitzpatrick skin types one through six can undergo this laser treatment to safely address vascular lesions, pigmentation concerns, and irregular skin texture. A consultation is necessary before scheduling treatments.
