Neuromodulators
Neuromodulators, also known as neurotoxins or wrinkle relaxers, are anti-aging cosmetic injectables that work on the muscular level to reduce muscle activity and soften expression lines. The active ingredients in these products are slightly different, but all work the same, temporarily blocking nerve impulses to the muscles so that patients can enjoy wrinkle-free skin.

Nefertiti Lift
The Nefertiti Lift is a non-surgical, non-invasive treatment with one of our neuromodulators that can improve the appearance of neck lines. During treatment, we administer BOTOX®, Dysport®, or Xeomin® into the lower part of the face, jaw, and neck to address the platysma band of muscles that run vertically from the bottom of the face to the collarbone. The treatment promotes a tighter neck and jawline. Patients may need multiple sessions for the best results, and individual results may vary.
Excessive Sweating
Excessive sweating is a condition also known as hyperhidrosis that can affect many men and women. However, patients who experience this condition don’t have to simply live with the embarrassment and self-consciousness it can cause. Neurotoxins can be used to target the sweat glands in the axilla to reduce sweating. After initial treatment, results can last up to six months.
The Lip Flip
Neuromodulators can also enhance the lips through a treatment called the lip flip. During the lip flip treatment, we inject one of our wrinkle relaxing products into the upper part of the lip to relax the lip muscle and flip the lip outward. The result is the appearance of fuller lips. Patients can enjoy the effects of the lip flip four to six weeks after initial treatment. Individual results may vary.
Our Treatment Options
BOTOX® is the most popular cosmetic injectable that is FDA-approved to treat expression lines in multiple areas, including frown lines, forehead lines, and crow’s feet. It also can treat muscular-related medical conditions to alleviate symptoms and improve quality of life.
Once patients undergo treatment, results appear within 24 to 48 hours, but patients typically see the most noticeable improvements in their expression lines within three to four days, with the best results visible within 30 days. BOTOX® results last three to six months, and regular treatments will extend results long-term.
Dysport® is another popular cosmetic injectable specifically designed to treat frown lines. We can also use it to help patients reach additional aesthetic goals. After the initial injection, results appear within two to three days of treatment and can last up to five months. Regular follow-up treatments can extend results indefinitely.
Daxxify is a newer neuromodulator product that can be injected into the muscle to soften facial expression lines. Treatment areas include the “11s” (glabella lines), crow’s feet (smile lines), forehead lines, lip lines or smoker lines. Daxxify can also be used to soften lines in the upper nose (“bunny lines”), help with a downturn smile (DAO), smooth skin on the chin with an “orange peel” appearance, and provide brow lift.

Most patients easily tolerate neuromodulator treatments, but if you have any concerns, we can apply topical numbing cream before administering the injections. We administer treatments with a very thin, small needle, and the treatment process is quick and complete within minutes.

For instance, many women temporarily discontinue treatment before, during, and after pregnancy and can safely resume treatment when cleared by their primary care provider. Other patients may temporarily discontinue neuromodulator treatments for different reasons but can resume at any point without risk.
