Before Your Treatment

Avoid Sun Exposure
Refrain from direct sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanning products for at least

2 weeks before your Halo treatment.
Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) daily to protect your skin.

Discontinue Certain Skincare Products
Stop using retinoids, glycolic acids, salicylic acids, and Vitamin C serums for 1 week before your treatment.

Avoid chemical peels or other resurfacing treatments for at least 2 weeks.

Hydrate
Drink plenty of water and use a hydrating moisturizer in the days leading up to your appointment to keep your skin well-hydrated.

No Blood Thinners
Avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, or other blood-thinning medications and supplements (e.g., fish oil, Vitamin E) for 7 days prior, unless directed otherwise by your doctor.

Clean Skin
Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin. Avoid applying lotions, oils, or sunscreen to the treatment area on the day of your appointment.

Discuss Medical History
Inform your provider of any medications, skin conditions, or recent treatments that might affect the procedure.

During Your Treatment

Preparation
Your provider will cleanse your skin and apply a topical numbing cream to minimize discomfort. Numbing typically takes 30-45 minutes.

The Halo Procedure
The Halo laser uses dual wavelengths to treat both the surface of the skin and deeper layers for comprehensive rejuvenation.

The laser will be applied to the treatment area in a series of passes. You may feel a warm, prickling sensation or mild heat.

Duration
The treatment typically takes 60-90 minutes, including the numbing process.

Sensation
The treatment is designed for comfort, but some patients describe a sensation similar to a sunburn or slight stinging during the procedure.

After Your Treatment

Protect Your Skin
Avoid sun exposure for at least 2 weeks after treatment. Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) daily.

Hydrate and Soothe
Apply a gentle moisturizer to keep your skin hydrated and help with any dryness or flaking.
Use soothing products recommended by your provider to calm your skin.

Avoid Harsh Products
Do not use retinoids, exfoliants, or other irritating skincare products for at least 7-10 days.

No Heat or Sweating
Avoid hot showers, saunas, or vigorous exercise for 48 hours to prevent irritation.

Skin Shedding
Expect a mild "sandpaper" texture and flaking as your skin heals. Do not pick or scrub at peeling areas.

Stay Hydrated
Drink plenty of water to support your skin’s healing process.

Expected Results

Immediate Effects
You may notice a fresh glow as the initial redness subsides within a few days.

Full results, including reduced fine lines, improved pigmentation, and enhanced elasticity, typically appear within 2-3 months.

Treatment Frequency

Recommended Series
For optimal results, most patients require 1-2 treatments, depending on their skin concerns and goals.

FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

What is Halo, and how does it work?

Halo is a hybrid fractional laser that combines ablative and non-ablative wavelengths to target both the surface and deeper layers of the skin. This innovative treatment improves skin tone, texture, and radiance while addressing concerns like fine lines, sun damage, pigmentation, and enlarged pores.

What skin concerns can Halo address?

Halo is effective for treating a wide range of skin concerns, including fine lines and wrinkles, sunspots, uneven skin tone, acne scars, enlarged pores, and signs of aging. It’s suitable for the face, neck, chest, and hands, providing comprehensive skin rejuvenation.

How many Halo treatments will I need?

Many clients see noticeable improvements after just one Halo treatment, but the number of sessions needed depends on your skin condition and goals. For optimal results, some clients choose to have 2 to 3 treatments spaced several months apart. Maintenance treatments can be performed annually.

Is there downtime after a Halo treatment?

Halo requires moderate downtime, with most clients experiencing redness, swelling, and peeling for 5 to 7 days. The treated skin may darken before peeling off to reveal a smoother, clearer complexion. Following aftercare instructions and protecting your skin from the sun is essential for optimal healing and results.
