Your Treatment Journey

What to expect

From the moment you walk through our doors to the days and weeks following your visit, we’re here to guide you every step of the way. Explore what to expect before, during, and after your treatment, including anticipated results and recommended treatment frequency—so you can feel confident, prepared, and excited for your transformation.

Before Your Treatment

Avoid Blood Thinners
Refrain from taking aspirin, ibuprofen, or other blood-thinning medications and supplements (e.g., fish oil, Vitamin E) for at least 7 days prior to treatment unless medically necessary.

Discontinue Retinoids and Acids
Stop using retinoids, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, or other exfoliating products 3-5 days before treatment.

Avoid Sun Exposure
Protect your skin from direct sun exposure and avoid tanning for at least 7 days prior.

Hydrate
Drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated, as hydration enhances the effectiveness of the treatment.

Clean Skin
Arrive at your appointment with clean, makeup-free skin. Avoid applying lotions or oils to the treatment area.

Inform Your Provider
Notify your provider of any medical conditions, medications, or recent treatments (e.g., chemical peels, laser).

Prepare for PRF (if applicable)
For microneedling with PRF, eat a healthy meal and drink plenty of water before your appointment to ensure an effective blood draw.

During Your Treatment

Microneedling Only
Your skin is cleansed, and a topical numbing cream is applied for comfort.

A microneedling device creates controlled micro-injuries to the skin’s surface, stimulating collagen and elastin production.

The treatment feels like a light prickling sensation and typically lasts 30-60 minutes.

Microneedling with PRF
A small sample of your blood is drawn and spun in a centrifuge to isolate the platelet-rich fibrin (PRF).

After microneedling, the PRF is applied to the treated areas to accelerate healing, enhance collagen production, and improve results.

After Your Treatment

Avoid Sun Exposure
Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) daily and avoid direct sun exposure for at least 7 days.

Skip Makeup
Avoid applying makeup for 24 hours post-treatment to allow your skin to heal.

Gentle Skincare
Use a gentle cleanser and moisturizer to keep your skin hydrated. Avoid harsh exfoliants, retinoids, or acids for at least 5-7 days.

Stay Hydrated
Drink plenty of water to support your skin’s healing and collagen production.

Avoid Heat and Irritation
Refrain from saunas, hot showers, vigorous exercise, or swimming for 48 hours.

Do Not Pick or Scratch
Mild redness, swelling, or flaking may occur. Let your skin heal naturally.

Expected Results

Microneedling Only
Initial results include smoother, glowing skin within 1 week.
Over time, as collagen production increases, you’ll notice improvements in skin texture, fine lines, and scars (typically within 4-6 weeks).

Microneedling with PRF
With PRF, results are enhanced, including faster healing, improved skin tone, and long-lasting rejuvenation. Full effects are visible after 3-6 months.

Treatment Frequency

Microneedling Only
A series of 3-6 treatments, spaced 4-6 weeks apart, is recommended for optimal results.
Maintenance treatments can be performed every 6-12 months.

Microneedling with PRF
A series of 3-4 treatments, spaced 4-6 weeks apart, is recommended for enhanced and sustained results.
Maintenance treatments may be scheduled every 6-12 months based on individual needs.

FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

What is microneedling, and how does it work?

Microneedling is a minimally invasive treatment that uses fine, sterile needles to create tiny microchannels in the skin. This process stimulates collagen and elastin production, promoting natural skin repair and rejuvenation. It helps improve the appearance of fine lines, acne scars, uneven texture, and overall skin tone.

What skin concerns can microneedling address?

Microneedling is effective for a variety of skin concerns, including fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, enlarged pores, sun damage, uneven skin tone, and stretch marks. It is safe for most skin types and can be customized to meet your specific needs.

Is there any downtime after microneedling?

Microneedling typically requires minimal downtime. You may experience redness and mild swelling, similar to a sunburn, for 24-48 hours post-treatment. Your skin may also feel slightly sensitive or tight. Most clients can resume their normal activities the following day.

How many sessions are needed to see results?

While some clients notice improvement after a single session, optimal results are achieved with a series of treatments. Typically, 3 to 6 sessions spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart are recommended, depending on your skin concerns and desired outcomes. Your provider will create a personalized plan during your consultation.
