Before Your Treatment

Avoid Sun Exposure
Avoid direct sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanning products for at least 2 weeks before your treatment. Use SPF 30+ sunscreen daily.

Discontinue Active Skincare Products
Stop using retinoids, alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), beta hydroxy acids (BHAs), and other active ingredients 5-7 days prior to your session.

Stay Hydrated
Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your treatment to keep your skin hydrated.

Avoid Blood Thinners
Refrain from taking blood-thinning medications or supplements, such as aspirin, ibuprofen, or fish oil, for 5-7 days before treatment unless otherwise directed by your provider.

Consult Your Provider
Inform your provider of any recent treatments, medical conditions, or medications that may affect your skin’s healing process.

During Your Treatment

Consultation and Customization
Your provider will assess your skin and discuss your goals, customizing the Halo™ and BBL® settings to address your specific concerns.

Preparation
The skin is cleansed, and a numbing cream may be applied to enhance comfort.

BBL® Treatment
BroadBand Light is applied to the skin to address pigmentation, redness, and uneven tone using targeted light energy.

Halo™ Laser Treatment
The hybrid fractional laser is then used to resurface the skin and stimulate collagen production, improving texture, fine lines, and elasticity.

Duration
The combined procedure typically takes 90-120 minutes, depending on the treatment area.

After Your Treatment

Sun Protection
Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen daily and avoid sun exposure for at least 4 weeks post-treatment. Wear a wide-brimmed hat if outdoors.

Avoid Heat and Intense Activities
Avoid saunas, hot tubs, and strenuous exercise for 48-72 hours to minimize redness and irritation.

Use Gentle Skincare
Use a mild cleanser and moisturizer for the first week. Avoid active ingredients like retinoids and exfoliants until your skin has fully healed.

Do Not Pick or Scrub
Allow any peeling or flaking skin to shed naturally. Avoid picking, scrubbing, or using harsh products.

Cold Compress
If you experience mild redness or swelling, use a cold compress for 10-15 minutes at a time to soothe the skin.

Expected Results

Initial Improvements
Within 5-7 days, you’ll notice smoother texture, brighter tone, and a more even complexion.

FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

What is the difference between Halo and BBL treatments?

Halo is a hybrid fractional laser that addresses skin tone, texture, and overall rejuvenation by targeting deeper layers of the skin and stimulating collagen production. BBL (Broadband Light) focuses on treating surface-level concerns such as pigmentation, redness, and sun damage using light energy. Together, these treatments provide a comprehensive solution for radiant, youthful skin.

What can I expect during a Halo + BBL treatment?

Your provider will first perform the BBL treatment to target surface-level concerns, followed by the Halo laser to address deeper skin layers. You may feel a warm or prickling sensation during the treatment, but numbing cream is applied beforehand to enhance comfort. The entire session typically takes 90–120 minutes.

How long is the recovery time for Halo + BBL?

The downtime is minimal to moderate. You may experience mild redness, swelling, or a "sunburn" sensation for a few days. Halo treatments often result in light peeling or flaking as your skin renews itself. Most clients return to normal activities within 3–5 days.

How many sessions of Halo + BBL are recommended?

While noticeable results are often seen after a single session, optimal results are typically achieved with a series of 2–3 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart. Your provider will create a personalized plan based on your skin’s needs and goals.
